Stepping Up Your Skills
The A2 German course is designed to transition students from basic survival phrases to more independent communication. Building on the foundation of A1, you will master the past tense (*Perfekt* and *Präteritum*), expand your vocabulary to talk about work, travel, and health, and learn how to navigate social interactions like making appointments or expressing opinions simply. By the end of this level, you can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance and exchange information on familiar and routine matters, readying you for the B1 intermediate level.
What You Will Learn
Advanced Grammar and Tenses
Introduction to the Past Tenses (*Perfekt* and *Präteritum*), Dative and Accusative prepositions, and reflexive verbs. Mastering two-part conjunctions.
Thematic Vocabulary Development
Vocabulary related to professional life, daily routines, making phone calls, health, emotions, and giving short descriptions of events.
Complex Social Interactions
Practicing polite requests, expressing simple opinions, giving reasons using *weil* and *dass*, and writing short, structured emails/letters.
